How One Leasing Professional Closed a Deal with Prospects Overseas in Three Days

Carla Young has been in property management for over 10 years, with experience in both residential and retail. Currently, she’s a leasing professional with Aldon, who’s committed to providing quality living apartment homes in Northwest Washington D.C., and the suburban Maryland communities of Bethesda and Chevy Chase.

In 2020, Aldon noticed the trend of virtual leasing your apartment communities. So, the Marketing Department quickly adopted a virtual leasing solution for their leasing teams, and thus started Aldon’s journey with Realync.

In August of 2020, Aldon began leveraging Realync to push virtual touring options across its portfolio of properties. But soon enough, Carla’s creative side kicked in when prospective residents weren’t comfortable submitting proof of ID over email.

Solution

In January of 2021, Carla connected with four prospective residents, two of which lived outside of the United States. She learned about their preferences, needs, wants and budget. Based on the information Carla gathered, she then created pre-recorded videos through Realync’s platform of her available apartments she felt fit in with what the four prospects wanted.

Carla emailed Realync links of the pre-recorded apartment videos over to the prospects along with the link to apply for the apartment. Within a day, Carla received a notification that the application had been submitted. However, the two prospects living outside of the United States weren’t comfortable submitting their two forms of ID via email.

Results

In order to verify the applicants’ proof of IDs and to also put a face to her name, Carla scheduled a Realync Live Session to screen her prospects. They held up their two forms of ID to the camera, and the very next day Carla’s prospects signed their lease!

In a matter of three days, Carla leveraged Realync’s platform for pre-recorded videos and live sessions, and even closed a deal. Keep in mind, two of the four prospects were outside of the United States! Round of applause for Carla!
